Modern generation, more reliable energy.
Cleaner, more efficient power helps keep customers bills lower than they would be in the future.
As part of our plan to meet growing customer demands and modernize our generation fleet, Entergy Mississippi is working to bring the Delta Blues Advanced Power Station to Greenville, Mississippi. Replacing end-of-life legacy gas generation plants with cleaner, modern and more efficient power generation now helps keep bills lower for customers than they otherwise would be in the future.
Located in the heart of the Mississippi Delta, this 754-megawatt combined-cycle combustion turbine facility with dual-fuel technology will be capable of powering 385,000 homes across Entergy Mississippi’s 45-county service area. While natural gas is its primary fuel source, the advanced facility will be designed to co-fire hydrogen in the future. Once complete, Delta Blues Advanced Power Station will be the most efficient power-generating facility in Entergy Mississippi’s fleet, ensuring all our customers will continue to have modern, reliable energy for years to come.
Construction on the $1.2 billion project is expected to be complete by 2028.
Power generation investments power our communities
Adding Delta Blues Advanced Power Station to our power generation fleet benefits the Greenville and Washington County, Mississippi, communities and beyond. Construction of the facility will result in more than 300 construction jobs. The project will support approximately 21 permanent full-time jobs once operational.
We are also committed to investing with local vendors to maximize the economic impact to the community.
