At Entergy, we're committed to delivering clean, safe, reliable energy at an affordable cost to our customers. Now, a key element of that ongoing effort is joining one of the country's largest and leading regional transmission organizations - the Midcontinent Independent Transmission System Operator (MISO).
Beginning last fall, the operating companies began filing requests with their retail regulators to "transfer functional control of their transmission systems" to the RTO. Under these proposals, MISO would take over functional control of the Entergy transmission grid in December, 2013 - and begin delivering an estimated $1.4 billion in customer savings over the first decade of operation alone.
In this site are current updates on the move to MISO and extensive detail on the proposals.
